In order to stimulate collecting, we have asked Dr. Asajiro Oka to furnish us with a key to the larger portion of the species listed, and he has kindly given us the key which follows, stating that it is meant "simply as a possible means of stimulating collecting leeches in China." Later when more forms are known, it may be possible to give a more elaborate key that will include the additions to the list.

We would be glad to receive leeches collected in any part of China and will take pleasure in obtaining the identification of those not in the present list. Mail the leeches to us in Peking.
