A Splendid Journalistic Achievement: Although all the English daily newspapers in Shanghai have rendered valuable service during the present crisis by appearing regularly, even though considerably reduced from their usual bulk, and so keeping the English speaking community well informed on current events, we would like specially to congratulate the Shanghai Evening Post and Mereury, Shanghai's American newspaper, on actually increasing its service to the public by running three editions daily, and, for the first time in its history, putting out a Sunday edition, following its motto of "present mg news while it is news."

Not only has it done this, it has also extended its broadcasting service, at one period actually giving out hourly broadcasts in cooperation with Station XMHA, situated on Race Course Road. In this connection we would also like to congratulate this Broadcasting Station, as well as Station XQHB, run by Mrs. Robertson at 274 Rue Maresca, on the valuable service they have rendered the community by broadcasting free of charge personal and business messages at a time when it has been practically impossible for people to get in touch with their friends, relatives or business associates through any of the usual channels. Daily these messages have been sent out, and it must have proved of the greatest comfort and help to many to receive them during this time of unprecedented trouble.
