Su-lin the Panda About a year ago, great interest was aroused over the arrival in Shanghai from West China of the first live Giant Panda ever to have been brought out of that country. "Su-lin" was caught by Mrs. Ruth Harkness in the Wassu Country on the Chinese-Tibet Border a Year ago and successfully transported to the United States. The Animal is now in the Brookfield Zoo, Chicago, where she is a great Favourite with Visitors. Mrs. Harkness has received sufficient funds to enable her to set out on another expedition to West China and Tibet to secure a Mate for "Su-lin."
